× ROBO WIZARD ®

Built by Engineers, for Engineers

Transforming robotic facility planning from complexity to clarity

🎯 Our Mission

Robo-Wizard was born from a simple frustration: the overwhelming complexity of planning and designing robotic facilities. As robotics engineers ourselves, we spent countless hours navigating compatibility matrices, verifying specifications across dozens of manufacturer catalogs, and second-guessing our equipment selections.

We built Robo-Wizard to be the tool we always wished existed—a comprehensive platform that transforms facility planning from a weeks-long research project into a streamlined, confident decision-making process.

⚡ What We Solve

🔧 Compatibility Verification

Instantly verify mechanical interfaces, payload capacities, and communication protocols across hundreds of robots and accessories.

💰 Cost Optimization

Compare configurations with transparent pricing to find the best balance of performance, reliability, and budget.

📊 Smart Recommendations

AI-powered suggestions tailored to your specific operation, material requirements, and performance criteria.

✅ Manufacturer Verification

Direct verification links to confirm pricing and availability with manufacturers, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

🏗️ Built with Purpose

Every feature in Robo-Wizard reflects real-world engineering challenges. Our extensive database has been meticulously curated to include verified specifications, compatibility data, and real-world performance metrics. We've done the tedious research work so you can focus on what matters: designing efficient, reliable robotic systems.

Whether you're configuring a single robot cell or planning an entire automated facility, Robo-Wizard provides the clarity and confidence you need to make informed decisions—saving time, reducing costly mistakes, and delivering better outcomes for your customers.

🤝 Our Commitment

We continuously expand and verify our database, add new manufacturers, and refine our compatibility algorithms. Our goal is simple: make robotic facility planning more convenient and efficient for engineers, and more cost-effective and reliable for the customers they serve.

📖 User Manual

A complete guide to every feature in Robo-Wizard

Toolbar Menu Items

🏠 Home

Returns you to the Robo-Wizard home page — the main equipment configurator. From here you can select your operation type, specify parameters, and get AI-powered robot and accessory recommendations. This is the starting point for every new project.

🤖 Robo-Wizard

The intelligent configuration wizard. Opens a dropdown where you can define your manufacturing operation (deburring, pick & place, welding, etc.), specify material types, workpiece weight, required tolerances, and other parameters. Robo-Wizard then analyzes your requirements and suggests the best-fit robot along with compatible accessories — sensors, tool changers, spindles, grippers, and vision systems — ranked by performance, compatibility, and cost.

🛠️ Robo-Expert Admin

A hardware browsing panel available to administrators. Provides quick-access cards for every equipment category — robots, grippers, sensors, tool changers, spindles, vision systems, welding equipment, and adapters. Click any card to jump directly to that section. Includes a compatibility filter that narrows results to equipment matching your selected robot's payload capacity, and a "Show All" toggle to browse the full database.

🏭 Build Cell

Opens the interactive 3D Cell Builder. This tool lets you visualize and assemble a complete robotic work cell in three dimensions. It loads your currently selected robot and equipment from Robo-Wizard (or from AI suggestions) and places them in a virtual cell environment. You can adjust robot joint angles with sliders, view the full EOAT (End-of-Arm Tooling) stack, swap components from the product flyout, toggle between real CAD models and mockups, and see detailed robot specifications. The cell builder is where your configuration comes to life in 3D.

📖 Usage Manual

You are here! Accessed from inside the Robo-Wizard dropdown. This guide explains each menu item, page, and feature across the Robo-Wizard platform so you can navigate confidently and make the most of every tool.

ℹ️ About

Opens the About page with information on Robo-Wizard's mission, the problems it solves (compatibility verification, cost optimization, smart recommendations, manufacturer verification), and the team's commitment to continuously expanding the platform.

Browsing & Visualization

🔍 Catalog Search (/search.php)

The full product catalog — every robot, gripper, sensor, tool changer, spindle, vision system, and utility module in the database. Free-text search hits name, model, description, and part number, so you can look up either a high-level family (QC-160) or a specific SKU (9120-160FM-000-000-SM-E). Filter by category and manufacturer. Each result card shows series and tier badges, side (master/tool) for tool-changer variants, and connector specs for utility modules. Click any card to open a detail modal with the full spec sheet, variant tree (children for family parents, parent banner for variant rows), and links to similar products. This is where the ATI catalog (137 rows: 22 tool-changer families + 84 variants + 15 utility modules) lives.

🧊 3D Product Viewer (/product-3d-viewer.php)

Single-product 3D viewer for inspecting an individual piece of equipment in isolation. Orbit, pan, zoom, and toggle between real CAD models and lightweight mockups. Useful for previewing geometry, mounting interfaces, and physical dimensions before committing a part to your cell.

🤖 3D EOAT Viewer (/eoat-3d-viewer.php)

Stack and visualize the End-of-Arm Tooling chain — tool changer → sensor → adapter → end effector — without the full cell context. Lets you verify that the components in your EOAT stack mate cleanly via their face-constraint metadata and see the total mounting depth before building a complete cell.

🏭 3D Cell Builder (/cell-builder-3d.php)

Full robotic-cell visualization. Loads your selected robot and EOAT, snaps components together via the face-constraint pipeline, and lets you drive joint angles, swap components, inspect dimensions, and run a startup animation. Different cell types (deburring, pick-and-place, welding, machine tending) are selected via ?type=. The cell builder is where your configuration becomes a live 3D model you can iterate on.

💬 Chat Assistant

A floating chat bubble (bottom-right of most pages) backed by a four-layer assistant — rule-based answers first, then cached responses, then knowledge-base lookup, then live Claude API. Ask questions about specific products, compatibility, or recommendations; the assistant cites its sources where possible and falls back to general guidance when the knowledge base doesn't cover the topic.

Account & Setup Management

⚙️ Admin Admin

Administrator tools for managing the platform. Includes links to: Database Setup (initialize or update database tables), Scraper (manage product data scraping and imports), Fix Database (repair data integrity issues), Admin Chat (AI-powered assistant for admin queries), and Account Settings (manage your profile and, for super admins, manage all users and roles).

📁 My Setups

Access your saved cell configurations. When you build a robotic cell in the 3D Cell Builder and click "Save Setup," it stores your entire configuration — robot selection, EOAT stack, joint positions, and all accessory choices. The My Setups dropdown lists all your saved configurations so you can quickly reload and continue editing any previous design.

👤 User Menu (Your Name)

Displays your account information (name, email, company) and provides access to your profile settings. From here you can also log out of your session. The circular avatar shows the first letter of your name for quick identification.

👤 Login / Register

If you are not logged in, this button opens the authentication modal where you can sign in with your email and password, or create a new account. Registration requires your full name, email, and company. Logged-in users get access to saving setups, personalized recommendations, and (if granted admin privileges) the full admin toolset.

Workflow Overview

1. Define your operation — Use Robo-Wizard to select your operation type and parameters (material, weight, tolerance, etc.).

2. Review suggestions — The system recommends an optimal robot with compatible sensors, tool changers, spindles, grippers, and vision systems, ranked by suitability and cost.

3. Build in 3D — Click Build Cell to open the 3D Cell Builder with your selections pre-loaded. Visualize the complete EOAT stack, adjust joints, and swap components.

4. Save & iterate — Save your setup via My Setups and return any time to refine, compare alternatives, or share with your team.
